Countdown Regent is 100% leased to General Distributors Ltd, a subsidiary of Woolworths New Zealand Ltd and in turn, Woolworths Group, a national retail group and the largest in Australasia. Woolworths has over 1,050 stores in Australia and New Zealand including its supermarkets and retail divisions.

Woolworths employ over 210,000 people to service on average 28 million customers per week enabling them to generate $55.7B AUD in sales from continuing operations in FY21, improving group EBIT by 11.1% from FY20, achieving an average growth of 11% over the last four years.


 


Alongside Woolworth Groups' financial success, the company also has a focus on improving the communities and environment it operates in. 2021 saw the group achieve a 27% reduction in carbon emissions from 2015 levels while generating 16.4-megawatt hours of electricity via renewable solar power generation. They have removed 72,500t of plastic from produce while providing over 20 million meals to people in need with a further $34.9m AUD (1.23% of EBIT) provided back to the community via direct investment.
